Office Phone - IP Telephony

When you become an AUIS employee and upon receiving your IT orientation, you will receive an office phone to be installed in your office, to use for communications amongst AUIS members on campus.

Your extension number consists of 4 digit numbers with the first two digits representing the department you belong to. There are many useful features to be used with your office phones such as voice mail and group conferences. Instructions are provided below to get you started with your new office phone:

  • The GLOBAL (Globe shaped) Button:  on the phone is your gateway to all the features the phone has to offer. From there you can see any missed calls, dialed & receieved numbers as well as placing a new call.
  • Voice Mail: There are two visible signs on the phone which tells you that you have an voicemail. One of the obvious one is the continous red light that appears on the handheld speakers and second is the actual notification on the screen informing you that you have a voice mail.

In order to listen to your voicemails, you will need to press the "Msgs" button on the screen and follow the instructions which in few steps takes you right to your voicemail inbox. To protect your privacy, voicemails are protected by a six digit pin number which you will have an option to change after first use.

The default pin number for the first time users is: 147369
